Sales Representative, Ottawa

Our team is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a full time, 12-month contract role of Sales Representative in the Ottawa area.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, Ontario the Sales Rep will be responsible for visiting a specific number of grocery retailers in the Ottawa Region (Cornwall, Downtown Ottawa, Kanata areas) to sell in products and build/merchandise impactful product displays that support the TBP portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sales: Support grocery by selling in and maintaining appropriate product levels within specified grocery accounts. This includes building and supporting strong relationships with decision makers and ensuring proper levels of inventory in those stores on weekly basis.
  • Grocery Merchandising: Support grocery by creating and building product displays that support any features. This includes putting together POS, lifting multiple cases of wine and other products, and executing creative and impactful displays.
  • Support & Monitor: Collaborating and providing constant communication with key decision makers to ensure proper POS and seasonal programs are maintained in stores. This includes pricing, inventory analysis and value adds.
  • Material Delivery: POS distribution at store level will be required, so access to a reliable vehicle is required.
  • Customer Service: Support and maintain positive relationships by providing excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • College or University diploma preferred, with 3+ years of sales experience
  • Previous beverage alcohol sales and/or CPG experience is a definite asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop partnerships quickly, both internally and externally with customers
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Self-starter and confident to work independently
  • Flexibility within the grocery channel is a must
  • Able to lift and carry 40lbs consistently
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation/own vehicle.
  • December is a blackout month for vacation
